Is there a easy way to remove tats from NPCs? A spell to remove them for instance or can the tatoo removal be sold for followers as well?

Well, if they can be put on, they can be taken off. I don't know how to do that, but I'll try to figure out.

I would be very interested in this as well.

Using Followers made from Familiar Faces, If i try to change or remove tats that were present when the follower was made the MCM menu freezes and slavetats begins papyrus spamming which slows my game to a laggy unplayable crawl.

I like the idea behind this mod. I've been hesitant to use tattoo mods because I don't care for some of the less appealing tattoos (e.g. SLUT on your forehead). Have you considered, instead of a clean patch of fresh skin, leaving a scar replacing the texture of the tattoo? It's a little more immersive and would add a reminder of your dark past.

I like the idea but I haven't the foggiest notion about how to make it. If someone artistic wants to make one, I'd be happy to add it.

 

I'm not artistically talented in that way either. If someone does want to expand on this, you could use a texture similar to a burn scar and you would only need to make a few different sized textures to cover the different sizes of tattoos a player can receive. I know a burn scar isn't 100% accurate, but it would require making less textures as it would just 'cover' the whole original area of the tattoo with a patch of light/pink uneven skin.

Yes, although they're works in progress. Quick as you Like and Slaves of Tamriel both do.

Cool. Let me know if my mod gets rid of the one that his mod's cleaner doesn't. :)

Just a follow up, jfraser.  I updated the remove your tats mod to the latest and updated slavetats to the latest.  Tried to remove a face tattoo, didn't have enough gold, the removal specialist (in Whiterun at the Drunken Huntsman) said he would remove the tattoo on credit.  Gave me an injection and then, like before, the tattoo remained.

 

Also, the tattoo remover at the Drunken Huntsman looks like a man but has a woman's voice.

Sorry for the delay - all my recent time has been spent on Simple Slavery. I recompiled the scripts, so hopefully version 1.4 will work for you if you have Slavetats 1.0.6. Let me know.

 

I forgot to change the voice while I was in there. Oops.

I ran into a Dunmer in the Winking Skeever named Max that seemed to be a tattoo removal expert.  But when I spoke with him, he had a female NPC voice!  As far as I can tell, he looks male and does not get any dialogue options that females normally have from mods such as Milk Slave experience, so I think maybe the wrong voice was selected when you created him.

 

The voice unsettled me so much that I was afraid to be rude with him/her.   :P

got a while to go on all of them, but all my WiP's are at a relatively stable place for the moment. That's good because I'm going to be at work for about 16 hours a day for the next three weeks or so. Let me know if things aren't working how they should and I'll try to fix them, but there will be precious little new content for a while. Thanks, as always, for checking out my mods. :)

For whatever reason, when I go to Max he/she takes my money but I'm still stuck with the QAYL tattoos. They aren't unlocked in SlaveTats (I was using version 1.1 but had 1.06 loaded when I got the tats doing the first bit of QAYL and switched back to that for an earlier save to try and get them removed again), and trying with ST 1.06 I again paid Max and again nothing got removed. Does this take a while to work, or am I missing something?

Bad news jfraser, it seems that Manny in Whiterun also has a female voice and doesn't remove the tattoos.  Had SlaveTats 1.01 (1.1? 1.0.1? whatever) installed this time, so I don't know if that could affect it or not, but the female voice wouldn't be a result of ST (I don't think it would at least).

I apologize for the length of time it took to get to fixing this. I have no valid excuse. It works for me now, so hopefully it will for you as well. Make sure you have the latest jContainers.

Ditto here, I can pay for tattoo removals, but nothing happens at all.

 

In regards to the debt option

 

I must say that it bridging into Simple Slavery caught me off by surprise.

Thank you for this. I have added it to the download section. The dialogue expanded a little bit in version 2.0, so if you want to update your patch as well, I'll keep fresh on the download page.
