I'm not getting the MCM menu to show up... :(

 

Make sure you have the latest version of SkyUI, and SKSE 1.7.3 or newer.

 

 

And sometimes be patient.  Some script loads can cause a delay.  For me, after adding a new mod with an MCM to an existing game, after the initial load I go into the MCM then immediately leave it.  Usually in 7-10 seconds the MCM alert appears that a new mod was added to MCM.  Some people have reported delays up to several minutes.  Again, script load can cause a delay.  There are also ways to speed it up - Jaxonz MCM kicker on nexus and also check the SkyUI page for a console command to help kickstart the MCM update.

This error is displayed by MNC, not CF.

 

 

I was having this issue but after some research I came across a post which mentioned that this issue happens when sexlab aroused is not present in the load order, I installed that mod and the issue was solved but now I am stuck with aroused which I have always tried to avoid.

I'm having issues with CF RC12: every time i start my game i get an error message that my version of Jcontainers is incompatible with Creature Framework. I'm running Jcontainers version 3.2.5. I already moved Jcontainers to the top of my load order.

 

Any sugestions?

I'm having issues with CF RC12: every time i start my game i get an error message that my version of Jcontainers is incompatible with Creature Framework. I'm running Jcontainers version 3.2.5. I already moved Jcontainers to the top of my load order.

The more recent versions of RP are built to work with JContainers 3.x.x, if you want to continue using it.

Since I installed CF RC12 I regulary get CTDs. I noticed other people (sneakyturkey and FloppyDingo as far as I saw) who also had CTDs posted here.

It seems I have a lot of CTD's lately. Any idea what's causing them? The last thing in papyrus is almost always something from CF.

 
So I looked at their Papyrus log and noticed they got exactly the same error as me just before the CTD happens:

warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp6"

 

Judging from the stack trace it comes from CF but unfortunately nobody seemed to be able to help for the moment.

 

@Ep1cL3w7z: you told sneakyturkey that his log was perfectly normal but please consider taking a better look at our logs because we get CTD right after the exact same error.

I been having problems with random ctd on load, have no idea what may be causing it, but uninstalling CF they gone. All requeriments are installed and updated and load order sorted with LOOT.

Those messages are harmless, I promise. The only reason you see them at the end of your log so frequently is just because the messages are frequently output.

That is from a 15 minutes played new game, only configure the mods and start with Alternate Start.

 

I tested multiple times and when load well there are no CF errors on papyrus, it seems that something is breaking it randomly.

Helllo I already posted this issue on SGO thread and MNC thread, but because it seems also related to CF: There is a conflict with MNC or CF and SGO.

 

please try this in order to replicate the bug:

 

Make sure SL 1.60 Hotfix2, SGO and More Nasty Critters (Creature Framework RC12 is part of this now) are installed. Now open a save and wait a minute (it needs a while till CF RC12 allows you to re-register all mods). Now re-register, save and reload the save. Now after you reload the save and have sex, SGO wount incubate gems (even at 100% incubation rate) and body scales will also stop working. This bug makes it tiresome to update CF or MNC because my game end up screwing SGO and then I always have to clean reinstall it so that it can work again..

I had a similar problem but it was with the mod More nasty Creatures, and then when I installed the new version from the megadrive site that isn't here on sexlab it worked completely.

I'm seeing the "CF API not found error" randomly. Sometimes, sometimes not. I'm running without aroused just now. I'm guessing some kind of race condition where if you ask for it too quickly after game load, the GetFormFromFile call fails. Maybe adding Aroused slows things down enough that you don't see it then.

Ich habs glaub ich eine MILLION mal in meinem Thread gesagt: Wenn man MNC installiert dann sind CF, SLNC, und JContainer includiert. Es macht keinen Sinn, ja es stoert wahrscheinlich sogar, wenn man diese Mods NOCHMALS installiert.

 

Die Versionen, die ich in MNC inkludiere, sind getestet und funktionieren zusammen. Das ist nicht geasgt, wenn ihr irgend welche anderen zusammenmixt.

I'm seeing the "CF API not found error" randomly. Sometimes, sometimes not. I'm running without aroused just now. I'm guessing some kind of race condition where if you ask for it too quickly after game load, the GetFormFromFile call fails. Maybe adding Aroused slows things down enough that you don't see it then.

 

It is a race condition. Lordescobar made some tests with it. Maybe checks should be delayed or something...

I hacked in a loop where if the utility call gets nothing it tries again a few times.

 

I also found the error in the logs with assigning none to a temp variable--there's a boolean function that didn't return anything on some branches. The return value isn't used, so it SHOULDN'T matter, but this is Skyrim and I'm having a foul CTD error, so I fixed that too.

As for the Aroused shenanigans, mind temporarily undoing your code changes and seeing if throwing this pex file into your scripts directory fixes it?

i dont know why ppl are having trouble with cf and mnc whenever i want to install i make sure that sexlab framework is installed in game and working correctly then play for an extra hour save and then exit game and then install CF thru MNC and everything is working like it is supposed to.

ActivateActor, yup. I'll try out your fix and see, but won't get to it until friday. Unfortunately both the "CF not found" and my CDT bug are random, so it may be hard to get a read. Mind sharing the source for the pex you posted? You know what I'm like... depending on the behavior I might want to go in and see. Or is the Git repo public?

 

Right now, I'm running around the Rift with Aroused back on and no crashes yet... which means not much. I was getting the crashes, diddled the CF code, and ran without Aroused a while and no crashes. I just turned Aroused back on and it's still good. I can't believe it really makes a difference, but until I see it crash again I don't have another hypothesis.

I've been using this mod due its integration with "More Nasty Critters" and I can't remember a single time it worked as intended for me. Across three different characters, started from scratch months apart, the most common occurrence is that Creature Framework keeps forgetting to apply the skin change to creatures, unless I routinely use the "Re-register all creatures" button. Lately, it either doesn't apply the skin change or it leaves animals with permanent erections.

What a pile of frustration, really.

Lots of it, actually. I would ditch this mod in a second, if it weren't for its dependencies.

 

 

Good for you? I'd offer to help, but I couldn't give two shits about your issues if you're going to post nothing but snarky comments in the thread, and provide essentially zero information. Hundreds, if not thousands, of players are using it with no problems - I think we'll all be just fine down one person.
