Is this place at least more friendly than the ban hammer site over at the nexus? and a place to make friends? anime friends..

particulary some people still tends on legal issues........ this is forum NOT SHOP.

Been a member for a year right now and except the wierd shit (the really REALLY wierd shit, *shivers*), I think it has a much better comunity than nexus indeed. Btw are there any uploading rules about you can't and cannot upload here? (like stuff you accidentally created on another mod .esp and takes to much work to put it all into a new .esp for example?)

Yeah, not your forum, a forum. There needs to be some legality in what is done here or the website would have problems. (Which means don't try to share other people's mods without asking permission again lol)

I like this community a lot, though my presence here has been spotty at best lately. I used to be here all the damn time, but then real life intervened (curse that real life!), and now I try to be here when I can, which isn't often. Hell, I'd be surprised if more than a select few even remember who I am now.

 

One thing I've always loved about this community, they're more than willing to lend a hand. Whether it's aiding someone in modding their game, or creating their own mods, or advice for personal problems, or just lending an ear when you need to vent, people here are always happy to help.

 

You're good people, LL. I wish more gaming sites were like you.

Calling this community good or bad is quite subjective, really.

 

First, most of the people here are more level-headed than those on Nexus. Probably because we are given more room to actually express ourselves albeit within a larger confinement than on Nexus. If you don't mind the occasional mind-blowing statements some can spew out on the least of notice, we're good. Just be sure to not be eating or drinking when you're browsing LL. Smeared my screen a couple of times with coffee (I browse late at night) when some "kinky buddhas", as some would like to refer themselves, manage to outdo themselves. Didn't quite remember what they did but you might want to steer clear of "the funny pic" thread.

 

If you're really offended with the fetishes this site is offering, then you might need to spend a couple of years off line and embrace yourself in the porns and whatnots before coming back. Then, we'll hold a civil conversation. Really, everyone here has their fingers crossed.

I am not very active but I am lurking a lot and I can tell you this is one of the better communities out there. Very friendly and open minded people. Yeah there's some stuff like bestiality rape and such, but each to his own after all  ^_^

Okay, I get that he passed away, but do we need to spread this on every topic like it's a national holiday? 1 person does not defy a great community. Especially 7k comments. There's people with double of that and they aren't being praised like some king.

 

Germanicus is not a god, he was a member like all of us. A nice guy at best. Can we leave it where it belongs?

And how do those posts not belong in "Is this a good community?" thread? 

 

Would you and your family choose to share your last moments on earth with LL if you don't feel this is a good community? 

 

I personally wouldn't and your post is the reason.  germanicus believed otherwise which is why people in this community cared about his passing.  If that's not reason enough of a good community I don't know what else to say.

It's not the number of posts that's praised, but what was in them.

And some people ARE making it seem because he has 7,000 post speaks for itself. Is this to say someone who has 5 posts doesn't seem LL is a good community. Have I not ever spoken good words of LL?

 

I simply have no desire to show my appreciation for my own reasons. But perhaps because I've seen so many people fake their deaths over the internet that I have to give it time and sit back and see if this was all just pure bullshit or it's the real deal.

Upfront is not an accurate description, nor can it be used in the context that you are using it.  The correct word is "rude".

 

You CAN NOT call other folks insensitive, when that is in fact WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

 

You need to develop some basic "plays well with others skills" or the only thing folks will say when you are gone is "good radiance."

You are suspicious and it's OK. But if you followed his posts you will noticed that he always used one and only avatar, didn't have another account, when being wrong he apologized. He was never ran from his responsibility. He was loved and respected in this community. Therefore, he has no reason to fake his dead. Common, you expect his son to provide the pictures from his funeral to you? Those who knew germanicus would surely tell you that he wasn't a man of "playing sick games".

OK, I agree, I'm not competent enough to speak on his behalf, but he intrigued me and followed his post all over the LL threads. All i could see, funny and fun, helpful and good person who, I'm 100% sure, wouldn't even think to fake his dead.

Uh, I'm stopping how and will not discuss about this matter any more.
