The Elf Race you use the most? (Maybe non-elf but have elven ears)

Hello, I'm canvassing for a potential elven race to use in a new game. I was wondering what race most users prefer in making elf characters.

Here's what I'm after: An elf race with human facial features but aren't just Nords or other non-Mer races with artificial pointy ears put via ECE. The merfolk within the game are nice and all, but in all honesty they look like stereotypical witches with long chins and grey alien uptilt eyes because of the head shape.

"Beautiful Elf" would be a good short description of what I'm looking for.  :D

Please post your recommendations and an image to support it. Do avoid a wall of pictures. One or two would suffice  ;)

I remember hearing something about Moonshadow Elves during my oblivion days. So far the top listers I've seen people use are the Cute Elves and Epic Elves. I was about to ask "Why two Drow Elves?" but meh, I guess there are a lot of variations. And that list sure is evil. Are those mods all for skyrim?

of the Drow Elves, there are several variants. the two links were the most commonly used. all links in my list are for Skyrim. :)

edit: I use this mod the Drow race, because even children Drow are included.

Ho, so it can accomodate both CBBE and UNP outfits without the hip area getting torn? Still, that's a pretty... "gifted" child, you have there...

stop, if you are using a UNP body, then you can just wear UNP outfits. exactly the same with CBBE! I thought with all armor, all vanilla and all modded pieces, but each thou also used for the body.

Oh, I get it now. Well I use a nifty tool called Body Changer which allows me to switch body meshes and texture packages in one go with the added bonus of registering bodies to be used with specific outfits. I think there should be no problem with it.

Just a question, I'm REQUIRED to use this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24168/? if playing any custom race so that the vampires and werewolves don't bug out on me? I'm confused as ECE also has a RaceCompatibility esm and an ExtendedCharacterEdit esp which remains unused (I currently play vanilla Nord). Ticking both gives me some warning about script conflicts regarding vampires/werewolves IIRC.

So of all the breeds that I use personally, I have no problems.

However, I must say, I do not this proposed mod from you "RaceCompatibility for Skyrim and Dawnguard by TMPhoenix" use. in most race mods this is included, therefore caution is advisable! for use in several races many files are overwritten. and thus you could destroy your game, so make unplayable. you have to test what works best RaceCompatibility. yet I can not help you, you must try this yourself. I hope it's all to understand, because I do not speak English.

Back in Oblivion, I played around with a ton of custom elf race mods, Lineage Elves (light and dark) Moon Elves, Snow Elves, Blood Elves, Cute Elves etc.

However I haven't really felt the need to that in Skyrim, perhaps because of the mods like racemenu that allow you to alter practically every part of the body. Which elf race I play depends on my mood when I start. (I'm gonna assume you are not including Orcs (Orsimer) among elves here) If I feel like playing a magic character, then I will play as a High Elf, if I feel like playing a more sneaky character I usually go with a Wood Elf (sniper!) - I don't usually favor Dark Elves much, I think I've only played once as one.

Here are some pictures of my latest play-through as an Wood Elfmaid so you can see what I mean.

Ancano was skeptical of my claim about reacemenu type mods at first as well. I went with purple hair here first (bluish in some lighting).

Fethis Alor liked it - quite a lot apparently.

I paid a visit to the Ragged Flagon and turned her into a cute red head with pig tails. Vex was furious.

Later I went back to the Ragged Flagon and turned her into a sexy blonde. Deathbrand and his undead crew of pirates approved of that one.

But then she got turned into a vampire - Dawnguard style

When I cured her I had her pay another visit to the Ragged Flagon and decided to test the limits of how I could make her. Pink skin and purple hair - resembles a Night Elf - it was a little hard to do, I didn't want her skin to look like it had been cooked rare by the sun and I tired to avoid the hair turning bluish under some lighting (Skyrim doesn't like purple hair). But I think it turned out pretty well.

As you can see, the men (and males) of Skyrim hardily approved of her new look and several of them wasted no time in knocking her up - including this Reikling here.

"germanicus"

I do not know if you can use my "Moonshadow Elf", as I said, I have made them for CHSBHC BBP. but if you are using another skeleton (TBBP),

it could lead to CTD.

Thanks for the info. I'm using UNP skinny BBP. Would that be a problem?

no "really" not. because my Moonshadow Elf are standalone.
