What kind of mods would you like to see in The Sims 4?

Recommended Posts

Is all this even possible?

No, Bad Fwuffy, maintain optimism and stay on topic. Let me start over.

Let's skip some obvious stuff like decensoring, nudity, etc.

  • Sex toys would be cool, even better If someone brought in a certain dragon...
  • Anthros. with unique interactions between them and humans.
  • Bestiality. with social and moral consequences.
  • Xenophilia, and I don't mean green skinned space babes.
  • social centers, like shopping malls, and parks.

That's all in addition to the aforementioned standard modding fare. I haven't bought the game yet, but I will soon. Looking forward to seeing people break this game over one knee and REALLY make it their own.

Oh, and forgot to add these two to my list. Pee and scat. Hell, why not, after all, though I know these two showing up as some creators mod is as about likely as me becoming the Emperor of the universe. Oh well, one can always hope.

I know how you feel.  There are mods that I would like in the game that I am not going to even mention, because: a) I doubt there is a modder around willing to make them, and B) even if there were a modder to make them there is no site where they could be posted (well, maybe a japanese site).  At least there is a chance for you to get your mods made.  LOL

I have to say I want something like SIms 3 "into the Future" Ok this is more an EA request than a mod request but I liked going to the future and playing, it would have been nice if they took Sims medieval and made that a destination for the time machine.

For standard mods, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I want my sims to be able to paint what I want them to not just the generic stuff in Sims 4

As far as adult mods I like most of what has already been suggested. I have seen a lot of people say they want a rape mod...was there ever a rape mod for sims 3? If so please point the way.

Since I'm at loverslab i kinda feel safe posting this lol, stalkers, rapist, peeping tom, i have used these type mods in Skyrim, Fallout and Oblivion for so long feels odd not having them in other games, I would love to see all 3 in TS3 also because that's my current version.

Going a bit off topic here, but still within. I'd like to see Mod The Sims get rid of most of the lame fucking mods that they have there. Check out this very special, totaly awsome, can't do with-out, yellow background for CAS. Or what-ever lame, useless mod they put on the site, regardless. Look, I'm all for craetivity, but one has to (hah) draw a line somewhere.(pun intended) I mean not everyone is going to be the football star or rock god or in this case modder that they wish and think they are. If shit is shit, then let the person know. None of this pussy-shit of, not wanting to break ones ego or some sentimental bull-crap like that.

There is a difference between creative criticism and being unnecessarily nasty.  A beginning modder might start off making a "crap" mod as a way of learning how to mod.  Telling them that their mod is crap is a great way of stopping them from continuing to learn modding, and come out with something great down the road.  It isn't about stroking egos, it's about not destroying self worth.  Some people are like me and can see someone viciously attacking their work for what it is, being mean for the sake of being mean, and ignore it; but a lot of other people, especially creative people, are sensitive.  If you want art from artists you can't completely destroy their ego, but if you want good art from artists you can't coddle them either.

If the functionality of a mod doesn't interest you, just don't download it, use it, or comment on it.  If you feel that a mod doesn't work the way it should, feel free to tell the modder that you feel it should work a different way, but be prepared to give them ideas on how you think it should work.  Showing up to say that you think a mod is crap without giving any feedback for improvement doesn't help you, the modder, or the community at large; it just makes you look like a self-entitled prick.  (Not talking to you in particular with that comment ToBeContinued, as I haven't seen you actually do this.  It's just a general statement.)  Modders do this for free to the benefit of the community, so if you don't have anything constructive to say to a modder, keep your trap shut.  Modders who are just learning to mod don't need unnecessarily harsh criticism for their clumsy early attempts, they need encouraging guidance so that they learn how to mod better.

tl;dr: One has to put up with the crap mods so that we can get good mods from the modder later.

There's a mod called "Inteen" by a guy named lostaccount or something. He's been at it since Sims 2, I think... at LEAST Sims 3. It's a suite that includes polygamy, teen marriage/pregnancy/romance, and incest.

Eh.. I think I know why incest is so popular. :P Because the player is the only one that makes decent-looking characters... ofc also taboo and all that fluff. :P

Lots of great, simple (sounding) interaction mods and ideas on this thread!  I'd like to see some simple tools for modifying existing buffs and interactions and a button that exports a mod out of it.

For example: a new trait that links the humiliated and flirty buffs together sounds like a straight-forward little mod. But turning that idea into a working, loadable package can still be a daunting task for noobs like me.

We don't need a comprehensive tool able to do/change everything. It probably shouldn't even deal with art content. But a small, GUI-based utility for modding buffs and things would go a long way in the hands of the people on this thread.

Another example: whoever suggested streaking = fun++, I would play that! :)

id like to see biting in the animations, they said when vamps bite it leaves a mark. being curious I had my vamp bite someone and reeled my camera, and sure enough two small bites. I was like darn wheres the blood lol. the shows are a lot more graphic from bites most old vamps have bigger teeth then pins. still would be cool it the bit each other during sex.  just a thought.

I've seen sexy clothing out there, but have yet to see the sims even recognize the clothing as being sexy.  Personally, I would like to see some form of clothing awareness other than nude.  A clothing coded for revealing or partially revealing clothes, which resulted in desire and moodlet to match degree of desire, might be interesting.
