New Vegas Issues with making weapons invisible and sounds - I'm dumb.

So, messing around with the GECK, made a few weapons invisible to make another mod I use cooler.
Sadly, for reasons I'm not aware of, making it so a weapon doesn't use any models makes said weapon silent. No firing noises whatsoever. 
If I attach a mod to the weapon, it becomes visible again and sounds fine. Removing said mod, invisible, silent.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? First attempt at modifying anything, so it's probably something very simple and I'm just being dumb.
