Curious: Why Is Sexout Based Around A Female Pc?

One question though... why is there an actual menstruation mod? Is it because of male curiosity of what is unknown to you?

I find using a calender method of contraception more immersive than the medical scanner ;)

Although it doesn't seem to bother the damn cazadors too much.

I meant to make the Medical scanner a findable/buyable item one day :)

And well Cazadores like most Larve/Egg layers just need a hole to deposit in, they don't care if you have Ova there to fertilise or not :)

Actually checking the Menstruation effect might be good for factoring a chance of human rapists in Sex Assault changing their mind at the last minute :)

Thats a good idea, I have that feature in soliciting already and they use more or less the same system now, so it'll be easy. Is the menstruation SEFF in the SCR stable version?

Hmm just had a look, not it's not, I'll push the beta to stable in a few days if I don't hear of any showstoppers from my latest changes & tweaks.

I was kind of getting into this up until the uterus-eating... Now my dinner is sitting uneasily.  I imagine it would be the same for you guys if there were testicle-eating. bleaghhh

As for myself, I predominantly play as a female character, but then again, I swing both ways... Every once in a while I will do a male playthrough, and the features I give him are usually that of a "manly man". Well-muscled but not completely ripped, chest hair, strong features...and well-hung

Personality-wise he will be the typical hero that the women love and the men envy.

That would be perfectly fine to me as well. Rocky Mountan Oysters... ;)

Not that I would eat either mind you...

Good question. I am not interested in it in RL or in any game...apparently someone requested it for some reason.

I will remind modders (and players) that not everything a random person suggests has to be implemented. As a modder, I am under no obligation to satisfy the fetish of every person that comes along asking for it, and if I find something particularly offensive, I'm under no obligation to implement it no matter how many people beg. Same goes for you Hal, and everyone else.

I do this for fun, not for a paycheck. No modder is under any obligation implement features they don't like, and if a particular player doesn't like that, they're free to learn how to mod themselves.

Don't feel obligated to code something just because one person asked for it, even if it's easy to do, especially if you're uncomfortable or disgusted by the idea. Learn how to say "no." :)

If I can pitch in, I would have to give a couple of reasons I prefer female-based mods. First of all, as a male, I already know the parts of being a man that I like. The parts that I DON'T like , being a rapist, a sadist (not implying anything about consensual BDSM practitioners) or a jerkass, I have no interest in playing. When I'm playing the female, I am her mind. I decide if she was eventually cool with the deathclaws making her their breeding queen or with getting gangbanged by the fiends. I make her be a superslut that enjoys (or isn't really bothered) by all this. If I play the male, I'm actually playing the son of a bitch and have no control of the emotions of the victims. So, it makes it very jarring for me. It's too real for me, there are plenty of  scum out there and I don't like acting like one, even in video games.

Secondly, since I don't like forcing sex as a male PC, a mod that I could play would have to be either very story centered or plain boring (along the lines of "Wanna fuck"? "Sure, why not"?). Also, really, if I want to romance a woman, I can try in RL, I don't have to be in a post apocalyptic wasteland to do so.

Third, as was previously mentioned, when I control the woman, I get to make her do what I want. The dude in a sex act does not interest me unless it IS me. What matters is the woman. Hell, it could even be just a dick playing the part of the man and I would not care. The woman is the center of attention for me. So her actions are more important (and her attitude) and therefore, I want to be able to control them myself.

I think, as far as I am concerned at least, this sums it up quite good. When I play a char, I usually see myself not so much as the char on screen, but the "director" or "author" behind the chars actions. I can control what happens. I can put the woman into the situations I like her to be in, and avoid the stuff I don't want. And why a woman? For me, ever since the Rogue in Diablo 1 female main chars are the only chars I play. I just think male main chars are EVERYWHERE and I couldn't care less about all these testosteron-filled superheroes saving the day everywhere. At least in games where I am mostly in control I prefer to even the odds a bit for the "true" stronger sex

Also, on a side note in regards to the actual question: Its not just sexout or mods, after all. What about general porn? Every porn is focused on the girl(s) as well. No guy (the primary target audience) is interested in the guys in the scene. How many male porn stars do we know the name of? How much time do the cameras spend on the guys faces and bodies? Not a lot, and their cocks are only in the scene because they fill womanly orifices, who are the main stars...and hell, who needs guys anyway in porn when all women (thats true, isn't it??) are bisexual by nature and always get naughty with each other when no guy is in sight??? :dodgy:

Yeah, it usually needs a few people to suggest something related to my mod before I add it, things like Menstruation I'm personally not interested in, but I'm not disgusted by either and weren't hard to add to fertility and I made it default off for those who don't want it :)

Uterus eating is a separate mod already done by someone else here, it has no reason to interact with Sexout that I see, seems more a joke mod really.

Who knows It's not something I'm ever going to understand since in Fallout,Oblivion, and Skyrim I always play as a male character........no matter what

I've gotten used to the lack of mods for the Male Pc.

Same here, always play a male PC. For me it's because it's just that much hotter with a male running around, getting laid/raped/enslaved. So it'd be great if as many mods as possible would be playable with both male and females PCs (and most thankfully are)!

And yes,I'm all for some testicle eating! :D

If you check my signature, I recently threw together a mod that allows males PCs to start/do some of the quests for female PCs (although NPCs coming up and talking to you doesn't work).

EDIT:  And actually, I think I may have figured out a way to get approaches in there.  The problem is people playing in 3rd person (since you'd see that you were no longer what you started as).  Although the player voice could be a problem.  Not in combat, but when randomly taking damage.

You could totally make a mod that centers around this sort of duke nukem mindset where anyone who isn't in a wholesome "normal" relationship already needs to be "saved" by the PC.

If you analyse it, that dude's a really lonely and insecure guy. Translating that to a mod would potentially break ground for a personal development storyline to unfold beside this revenge + save the world game.

There's a lot of potential for LGBT friendly mods, of course, and the standard framework stuff doesn't impede that at all, but it doesn't seem like the interest is there among modders.

Personally, I've stayed away from re-adding SO to my game because I feel like it's too easy to do anything, I feel like there should be more gameplay and mechanics at work than simply initiate anims. And maybe I'm just prone to navel gazing, but I feel like there's a fuckton of missed narrative potential, too.

@herpman:  YOU, ma'am/sir.  YOU need THIS!  Cultivate relationships.  Can't praise it highly enough.  T3589 built a prototype with a lot of features, and now he's implementing it, so all of the features in the prototype aren't in the new version.

Can't remember now if he's got it working for both male and female PCs or just female PCs.  You can initiate interactions (as in dialogue) or if someone is interested in you, they will.

Haven't played them, but there's Sexout Affairs (not what it sounds like...new female NPC to woo) and Sexout Fleshed Out (Doc Mitchell to woo).

Thanks for pointing that out.

I should note I've been playing lady PC in TTW(Without SO) due to the fact that black widow is far more useful a perk than ladykiller.

You know what? I just had an idea.

I feel like the whole system could be more meaningful with just the addition of a cinematic camera, fading out when switching angles/anims. That way it could still leave some stuff to the imagination. That and, a character having consensual sex should skip ahead a few hours.

This allows the current bank of anims to be spread more thinly while having the same erotic "value" and appear more varried and tasteful.

Imagine Mass Effect's intimacy scenes, but showing a bit more, maybe staying a little longer.

@nyaallich:  Yes, the new one was built with Male/Female PC support from the ground up.  I'm sure there's still some things to sort out.

@herpman:  I agree it would add more appeal.  The problem with advancing time during sex is the timescale.  In my game, 60 seconds sometimes equates to 3 hours GT, depending upon different factors.

Link to comment

Like fast travel, sleeping/waiting etc? Or do you mean you have some mod that dynamically alters timescale based on additional factors?

I was thinking at the end of the scene, the game would force sleep for a number of hours based on duration of the sex scene. Something might need to be done to temporarily pause hunger and thirst as a safety measure. Should I start a thread for this? It seems fairly extensive and I have next-to-no experience making mods.

Link to comment

Yes dynamically.  IMCNNV for example can alter timescale depending upon whether or not you're inside or outside.  So usually I set it up to 1 to 1 interior, and 7 to 1 exterior.  I think it also recalculates time for fast travel based on your settings.  I'm pretty sure sleep is unaffected.

The point is, the default ratio is 30 to 1, so effectively with vanilla settings, sex for 60 seconds = roughly 30 min gt.

Since it was mentioned earlier in the thread, I updated the Sexout Sex Change mod so that it retains the sex change so long as you're in 1st person cam (unless you're in combat so that the appropriate original sex-based perk damage applies).  If you're in 1st person, NPCs will now approach you in mods like Tryouts Kings.

Link to comment

I thought the timescale could only be adjusted by changing that global game setting -- meaning you need to change your ESM/ESP to do it. There are script/nvse functions that can do it? If so I can add functionality to control that to sexouts MCM menu.

Get/SetGameSetting ? It has been been in NVSE since the port from FOSE :)

Is that even necessary? TimeScale is a global variable, so you should be able to just set it to something (store it first, of course).
