Curious: Why Is Sexout Based Around A Female Pc?

When I play a game I 'become' the character I'm controlling, I put myself into their minds, their position while I'm playing.

This is why I can't see myself playing as a slutty female, it feels kind of gay to come-onto a load of men/animals...

 

I guess if you just play a shallow game with no involvement in it at all, just a veritable slideshow of sexual images, it doesn't really matter which gender you choose to control. Neither of them actually represent 'you'?

 

Would be the only way I'd be able legitimise it in my mind. lol

In those cases, it's not, "What would I do here?" it's "I think this character I'm playing would kill all the kids outside the Wright's house."

RolePlayers tend to do what their character is supposed to do as Loogie says, and not viceversa. It's more like "concerning my character's background, what he would answer to that question in that specific situation?", they don't use their own mind and decision in these circumstances, they can find themselves doing choices they would never do in a "serious gameplay where the real task is beating the game itself and win". This doesn't mean they are their own character... it's a nice exercise for the mind and it really highlights real RPers and split them from casual RPers.

That's not really what I mean Loogie, even when I play games and go the evil-psycho-murderous route. It's still me doing it, some part of me anyways. If it isn't then the role-play is often not really immersive or convincing enough to suspend disbelief. It's always 'some' part of your own 'psyche' in there. If you have to constantly stop and think 'what would this character, with this particular background etc do in this situation... Well, it's not that you can't play like that... Hmm, it just doesn't flow very well. Also, I've seen many threads with this topic in many different site/forums around the web. If you ask me it all just boils down to one thing.

 

Us men are quite simply a bit perverted. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Sites like LL wouldn't exist otherwise. I just don't see the point in trying to hide behind it with generic excuses.

I think perhaps you are not understand what I wrote there?

 

I become the character, not the other way around. I try to think like the character would.

I don't mean I put myself into the character and make it do whatever I would do in real life.

 

Think of it kind of like method acting...

Answer is simple, because there is demand for it. There is a lot of commercial porn games where you play as guy. There is none where you play a girl.

Same thing with success of games like COC. It is mostly futa furry collective but it also attract people who would like to play female, sub/dom (ect)  characters and oh my pregnancy!.

I think this hole issue boils down to the fact that when it comes to sex, men are more visually stimulated by sexual activities than females and by playing a female character they can make her do the things they like to see. Add that to the fact that more males play and mod these games than females it makes some sence that most mod are about female PCs.

Wasn't a feature of the Complex Needs Mod functioning toilets?

There is a mod that adds toilet paper as an object as opposed to a thing with an in-game purpose.

 

And this isn't an "issue."  It's a curiosity.

If I can pitch in, I would have to give a couple of reasons I prefer female-based mods. First of all, as a male, I already know the parts of being a man that I like. The parts that I DON'T like , being a rapist, a sadist (not implying anything about consensual BDSM practitioners) or a jerkass, I have no interest in playing. When I'm playing the female, I am her mind. I decide if she was eventually cool with the deathclaws making her their breeding queen or with getting gangbanged by the fiends. I make her be a superslut that enjoys (or isn't really bothered) by all this. If I play the male, I'm actually playing the son of a bitch and have no control of the emotions of the victims. So, it makes it very jarring for me. It's too real for me, there are plenty of  scum out there and I don't like acting like one, even in video games. 

Secondly, since I don't like forcing sex as a male PC, a mod that I could play would have to be either very story centered or plain boring (along the lines of "Wanna fuck"? "Sure, why not"?). Also, really, if I want to romance a woman, I can try in RL, I don't have to be in a post apocalyptic wasteland to do so.

Third, as was previously mentioned, when I control the woman, I get to make her do what I want. The dude in a sex act does not interest me unless it IS me. What matters is the woman. Hell, it could even be just a dick playing the part of the man and I would not care. The woman is the center of attention for me. So her actions are more important (and her attitude) and therefore, I want to be able to control them myself.

I'm actually not too sure what more could be made to include male PCs than what we already have, or is being worked on right now (intimacy project).  I suppose the creature animations are designed for use with female characters, so some male character on female creature animations, maybe, but that might require some fancy scriptwork for the framework to give gender distinction to creatures... but then, I know nothing about the framework's scripts, so maybe it wouldn't.

 

But you have the rape mods, the consensual mods, a few goofy mods, and they can be played as a male character, but given certain roles that people want to play out, it's hard to see a male in those positions.  Which one was it, sewer slave, I think?  You get abducted and are forced to whore yourself out beneath the city.  I can see a raider or someone capturing a woman and selling her on to some slaver.  There's a demand and money to be made in it, if the raider has the right connections.  But when it comes to ambushing a man, they'd probably be more inclined to just kill him and loot whatever he had.  The best bet for selling a male slave would be the Legion, and there'd hardly be anything sexual involved, they'd just work the character to death and toss his body down a ravine, so it probably wouldn't need to be a sexout mod.  (Either way, it suits me just fine.  If I want to use a mod for easy porn, I find it tedious to scour the wasteland looking for a not-too-creepy character because my wooden computer can't handle pretty visual overhauls.)

 

That's just an example, but the point is that it's like was mentioned before.  It's easier to say these things might happen to a female PC, so that's what gets made.  Intimacy project looks to be shaping up pretty interestingly, and it seems pretty gender neutral in regards to the player, so maybe that's the one that'll balance things out a bit.  I've been keeping an eye on its development and I think it's going to become a fairly central mod once the maker decides it's developed enough to officially release it to the downloads page.

Modders:  When you check for male/female restrictions...are you just checking getav female or are you also checking if the PC/NPC has a shemale or hefemale effect?  This came up in another thread for someone who wants to play through things like Legion (iirc), which only allows female PCs.

As for myself, I predominantly play as a female character, but then again, I swing both ways... Every once in a while I will do a male playthrough, and the features I give him are usually that of a "manly man". Well-muscled but not completely ripped, chest hair, strong features...and well-hung

Personality-wise he will be the typical hero that the women love and the men envy.

 

One question though... why is there an actual menstruation mod? Is it because of male curiosity of what is unknown to you?

Menstruation effect is an option in Pregnancy fertility (though the blank effect is in SCR), defaulted to off, it was requested a few times so I did it, I suspect some people just want the bitchy increased critical bonus but there is a Charisma penality

If there is an interest it shouldn't be hard. You really don't need an actual texture. It can be harvested along the same process used as a cannibal. If a texture is needed it should be very easy for someone that knows how to make them. A small mass with two long thin strings to the side. 

 

FYI I was actually joking about that. Something like that might really start to gross some members out..

I find using a calender method of contraception more immersive than the medical scanner

 

Although it doesn't seem to bother the damn cazadors too much.
