Paying for a mod (question)

I understand that "members requiring payment for mods, support, or putting anything behind a paywall will be removed without warning", but I wasn't sure what the rules regarding trying to find a modder and pay the modder to rip and port a certain armor, that I would much like to have in Skyrim.

There is a glitch in this rule, like in almost all rules.

It is allowed to accept money for giving help... or to pay for using a specific plattform/website.... for example... Nexus could say: "if you want to use the nexus website, you have to spend $20"... or "you can buy 20 MB of Traffic for $10".

Or you can say "you can download the mod for free with 3kb/s .... if you want a faster connection, you have to pay

The mods themself won't cost anything, but using the plattform will cose money

Same to "giving help/support"...

But... you can share the downloaded mods on another website, after you bought them... so the time would come, no one will use the other plattform anymore.

'Fraid that's not legal. Modders are not allowed to charge or accept payment for anything that they make for the game. Otherwise it'd be a simple way around the ban on charging money.

That said, you could simply request it.

What do you mean ?? if the armor is done though blender that part is payable. the part where you open the ck and add the armor in is not.

if the modder recreate that armor from scratch in blender and he pays for it then no ck is even involved. then the op can open the ck for himself and add it in-game for his own personal use.

You can even charge for any animation you make. since no ck is even involved to make that that part is all blender.

if make the animation and supply the esp to play it then the part of the ck is not payable but you can give that free with no charge as separate download.

The site rule is:

We are a free and open community; members requiring payment for mods, support, or putting anything behind a paywall will be removed without warning. Donation buttons/links to support an author is fine, so long as nothing is promised, given, or rewarded other than a sense of satisfaction for supporting an author or owner of content.

So everything talked on the forum is not even allowed. But the rule does not say about pm etc.. you can still contact a modder about something and have that done on other side you give them payment and he give you link and no one is even the wiser.
