Never let it be said that a mod is truly abandoned. AHEM:

 

This mod adds a race of rat people to play as. they are much like khajiit, however in the place of one handed weapons and archery, they have destruction and restoration as +5 skills.

 

They have their own power as well, Rat's Regeneration. I took histskin and multiplied it's healing by 5, and added frankly overpowered stamina regen. It kills off all your magicka though, ravages it, you might say.

 

Aside from that, they have all khajiit eyes and hairs available to them, as well as claws.

 

As ever, let me know if there's a problem.

(Sorry it took so long for me to realize that.)

 

I remember loving all the furry races there were available for oblivion, you had the Nezumi, which inspired my skyrim remake. there were the Mephitis, skunks and just awesome at that, all of the -aga breeds of dog (doberaga, dalmaga, etc) and even some lore friendly ones as well.

 

What happened to that when skyrim came out? I'll say skyrim is more difficult to mod than oblivion or FalloutNV, in my experience. Personally though, I think it's a simple lack of interest. Whelp, I was interested to learn modding from the ground up and fail my way through nifskope, blender, GIMP, and the CK in order to put together this mess.

 

Requires: I've based the textures off of caliente's female body (or at least the one bodyslide produces) and the males should be fine with the body installed by sexlab.

 

Racecompatibility.esm, but I should say that I didn't jump through the proverbial hoops, so there's probably no reason this would be required. Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, vampires and werewolves will revert to a vanilla race after transformations. Sorry about that.

 

Some Issues:

 

There is no mouth, and I never figured out how to prevent the faces from animating, so their heads are hollow. As far as i'm aware, they sit in the correct spot, so it's something, at least.

 

SOS crashes and burns when it sees this race, the second you take off your armor it just goes *boop* CTD.

 

Never made a fitting eye mesh, but I prefer the silly (possibly creepy) cartoon eyes.

 

 

The head meshes, and race textures are not to be posted anywhere without my permission.

Recently checked out this race and I see a lot of potential for it, I made a few texture edits on the nose and belly and changed the tail using the new race menu mod but other than that it is pretty much the original race. Been using the race for close to a month now and it's been really fun to play with especially with the daily rat regeneration ability.

Is there still any attention to this mod? I'd really love to see more developments for it! Screen shots, lore, anything like that to really make it a complete experience.
