Questions about how the scripts load

I've been trying various things to see which follower is accessing the scripts through which body part, etc. Does anyone know the mechanics behind how the scripts are loaded?

 

I mean... If I have copied hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml to several other filenames, how is that affecting anything? Or is affecting anything at all?

 

If I enter a cell and in the log I see something like this:

I can see that the script is being accessed by a character using the vanilla hands (vanhands) and the vanilla head (vanilla). 

 

What happens if a character loads BOTH? 

Even if these are all pointing to the same XML file, what happens if a character loads a body that uses both the head and hands nifs that have been edited to link to the script? Does one body part simply override the other or is the script running 2 instances for that character?

 

What does this mean?

Finally.... how do you read the dump file? I tried opening it in notepad and it was just a bunch of nonsense characters so I'm assuming there's a proper way to look at it :)

 

What I'm LEARNING is that not all of my characters read the vanilla head nif. Not all of them read the vanilla hands nif. 

Vanilla characters don't seem to read all of the files all of the time. I can't figure out the patterns :)

Somebody more knowledgeable had posted in the clp's original thread that linking HDT to NPC head's aren't going to work for all npc's because a lot of the npc's have pre-made heads.

So some of the more customized npc's aren't going to load the femalehead.nif you stated. The more generic and randomly made npc's will use the default femalehead.nif's

Yeah, I read that. I'm trying to make sense of what I'm seeing in the log. 

I did find that I have one follower who seems to equip invisible gauntlets :)  THis kept her from having collisions active as she wasn't loading the femalehands nif

 

It would be nice if there was a body part like EYES that EVERYONE has to load,

HOLY JESUS, I've downloaded the "Smile in HD" mod and there IS a nif for the mouth that everyone should have to load ! Thank you for giving me the idea sir, genius, pure genius.
