SOS CTD When taking off clothes

Hey everybody!

So, the game works fine when starting up, no problems what so ever.

When other NPCs take off clothes, there's also no problem, everything is just how it's supposed to be.

But when I take off my own armor, it just instantly crashes. I'm pretty positive that the problem is SOS and none of the other mods (don't have many anyways).

For some reason it tells me I'm not allowed to upload my Papyrus.1.log so... yea. Any way to do it anyways?

I hope somebody can help me with this! Thanks in advance guys!

CTDs happen when a certain mesh is loaded and skinned to unexisting bones on the skeleton file. Examples:

- I have the SOS male skeleton being used for females, and load a female armor/mesh with BBP = CTD

- I have a non compatible SOS Skeleton, and load a schlong mesh = CTD

- I have vanilla skeleton and mesh with BBP or SOS = CTD

PS-Uploading papyrus logs is pointless for these types of CTDs, a list of installed mods is usually more helpful, specialy mods that change:

- animations

- armors

- skins

- ragdoll shenanigan

- any mod that may change the skeleton

the bosmer/altmer isue is a Bethesda bug that SOS corrects it, and it happens when using meshes rigged to custom bones. When I found about that bug, I told Canderes about it, and he made a mini-mod that corrected the issue, and I suggested him him to publish it on Nexus, since it also affected any female bodies with BBP. The problem is not the Race Form, but the NakedTorso AAs for High/Wood elves, which are missing the 1rst person mesh. This issue only affects the PC, because NPCs dont have/need 1rst person mesh.

(keep it as the last mod being loaded or just check in TESVEdit what mods other than SOS are changing the High/Wood elves Naked Torso, and correct your load order)

PS-Dark elves dont have this issue

Hey there everybody, good news!

It is working now.

@Rez Delnava

I wasn't using an Elf but a Nord, not sure if Joy of Perspective maybe played a role in the problem.

@LaEspada and @VectorPlexus

You were absolutely on the right track! It was indeed a problem with the skeleton. Now I'm not sure, as I did some things, which of these exactly fixed it. First of all, I installed first the XP32 Maximum Skeleton and then on top of that I installed XPMSplusSOS Skeleton, instead of the latter alone.

Then I went into FNISGenerator to activate them, and then I checked (which I didn't do before, which probably might have caused the issue) the "SKELETON Arm fix". Updated, started the game, tested and, voila, it works!

So, in the end, thanks to everyone helping! Turns out, I'm just to inattentive to read a simple warning message! :)
