Bathing Mod Revamped v1.04 English

Just a heads up! While I love the idea of this mod for some reason it is not recognizing any water other than the tubs in my game the message I am getting is "No suitable water found".

 

I'm using this mod and it works fine - tubs & outdoor water, no trouble. I don't have any odd terrain mods or such, but I do have various other clutter, in this order:

Alot of what you see in here are Mods I created to add things to the game instead of adding alot more to the game.

I couldn't make the animations work and since the scripts and animations are defined in the esm, load order is not relevant.

I replaced all pickidle instructions with OBSE 2.0 playidle, and it works like a charm for me now. Also, I think I fixed an issue with an infinite loop (companion wouldn't stop bathing) which I solved by replacing :

		if who.getitemcount BMposetoken == 37

with

if who.getitemcount BMposetoken >= 37

Umm... I didn't know companions would bathe. Is this something available with certian companions or companion add-ons only? Or is this functionality somewhere in this bathing mod?

You just have to give your companions a piece of soap and they'll bathe when you do.

i think its a cute mod and animations weren't working at all til i tried your esm =)

 

my companions will not stop the bathing animations tho, which is too bad. gonna try a few things, are you supposed to take soap off them when done? only tried it in the public bathing pool in Better Cities Imperial Markets.

Annoying, I thought I had squashed that bug. I need to add debug messages and be able to reproduce it on my side. In the meantime, I suggest saving before giving soap to companions or not to give them soap at all. Whats odd is, it's the same script for the PC and the companions, but in my experience, the PC never get stuck.

it could also be my load order or anything really. i have a hell of a mess going on cause i don't really completely know what i'm doing. xD

 

taking the soap off when i'm done keeps it from going into the cycle again so it does work for me. i always appreciate the work you modders and thanks for the quick reply. =)

I was able to get the mod working by DL Aleanne's .ESM file and placing it as follows in the LO.

 

Here is my load order. So far i'm able to play without many bugs or glitches. I have one question however... Are animations supposed to play with every tub? I purchased the half barrel tub and no animations play with it but when I go to a small body of water the anims play just fine.

The tubs are using another script than the one I modified, and this script is still using pickidle. I'm going to modify it too.

Using Aleanne's script I was able to get the striping animation to play. Is there a bathing animation I'm missing or is it just the undressing? And glad to hear that a script for the tubs is on the way.

- Corrected a problem I caused in the esm, resulting in ramdomness not being applied to animations. There should be more variations in animations now.

- Added a small random factor to the length of the bath.

- Rotated character 180° when exiting tub, to avoid clipping when playing the dressing animations.

- Fine tuned placement of character for some tubs. It's not perfect, but hopefully it's better than it was. I advise against using the round and blood fountain for bathing, but they make a very nice addition to a home.

I tested your esm, Aleanne, and pretty much everything seems to be in working order. I did run into two oddities though. I had two issues with the half-barrel tub. Once the character didn't sit in the right spot and I had feet clipping thought he side, and once the animations locked up. It worked more times than it didn't though, so take that for what you will.

 

The rose wall fountain tub also just doesn't work.

 

I don't know how much of that you even have control over, so I'm still going to say great work.

By "animations locking up" I mean that the character stripped properly, got into the tub ok, and started to bate but then the bathing animations stopped and they just sat there, then teleported out and their clothes slowly reappeared on them. There was no CTD.

Odd. I'm using Vipcxj's high heel system with this mod without issue. Just tried bathing while wearing a pair of high heels, in case this could be a problem. Everything was normal. Vipcxj is loading before bathing mod esp, if that has any importance.

It looks like Vipcxj's high heel system is full of little oddities. Myself, I had a CTD if I removed all Vipcxj's related items from my inventory and tried to use a quick key defined with Enhanced Hotkeys. Since then, my character always carry a pair of heels with her, even if she never wear them

I was wondering however, is it possible to make the mod not have the negative penalty for bathing and only the bonus like the original?

Can be merged into the bashed patch, if you use that. Otherwise, just throw it anywhere in your load order, it shouldn't make any difference.

The effects still show, but the personality drain will be 0.

Just tested it is compatible with set body.

 

But the current original version is 1.2

- Placer object physics have been tweaked slightly.

With Basic need.mod and this, Oblivion now has so much to compare with The sims# series. X) hunger, thrist, comfort, and hygiene. lol

Thanks for all the help Aleanne. But actually, when I tried this patch it did in fact drain my personality On the other hand the message no longer sticks around which kept me from casting Chameleon on myself.

Try to put it at the bottom of your load order, just in case ?
