[Forum Issue (?)] "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!"... download attachment error

Hi,

It seems like recently some attached files became un-downloadable...

In example (there are a lot), the files attached to these posts:

Here is the page I'm getting (Am I the only one?):

post-1348-0-76847500-1374716589_thumb.jpg

And some weird behavior:

- I can see/download integrated screenshots here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/18955-what-mod-is-this-iv/page-93?do=findComment&comment=429636

- I don't have the permission if I try from a post that lists them as actual attached files: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/18955-what-mod-is-this-iv/page-94?do=findComment&comment=429872

I know of the new download policy, but does that mean that all attachments are now off-limit to regular users ? That would be really sad if this applies to threads like the 2 I linked :(

Or maybe it's a bug?

Anyway, any help is appreciated :)

Those aren't real attachments, they copy pasted the attachment links from an archived thread.

Ahhh, that explains it.

Tell that to the people who made the archive system.

Well yeah I know that. I'm just saying that if people can't download from those threads then it will just end up with more people requesting them again in existing topics or even creating new topics just to get them. It just doesn't seem logical for an archive system.

Those are archived threads, meant to be read only.

Ok, so the text is archived and in a read only state, but attached files are suppressed from the forum, that's it?

And that's exactly what I will do :)
