Armor Conversions for YII - Techniques-Labors COTS

After many requests I have now put all of my armor conversions in one place. What started as wondering if I could change one armor has grown into an ever increasing project and a very steep learning curve to learn what I need to do. Never touched 3ds max before and spend most of my time beating my head against the screen trying to figure out how to do something only to find out hours later, its not possible or, it only takes 30 seconds.

Many thanks to JIITEK for his mod and all of the hard work, Cherryhotaling for the tutorial and of course all of the orginal mod creators. Most use the flat body but slider support will be done later.

Most it not all are now craftable as well.

SamFu and Momiji

For UBB-X117

Samfu is JackGa's KungFo Lady outfit. Due to the low quality of the textures I re-meshed the top and played around with PS on for more color. I also took the waist wrap, shrunk it down and put it on the wrists. Comes in three colors ans is craft-able and enchant-able. Momiji is Is JackGa's Ninja M++. I tried to brighten up the colors a bit. It It looked too washed out and dull to me. Hopefully its not too bright. Top comes in two colors and is craft-able and enchant-able.

Studded Leather Collection

for UBB-X117 (Unblessed Body)

Here is the Studded Leather Collection for UBB-X117

Has 4 outfits including a one-piece in three colors, Leggings and a new Studded Leather Armor. The Studded Leather Armor is a re-tex, re-mesh, and a mash up of Thief Armor and Blade and Souls Negligee.

This has a separate .esp for those who want to run both versions. It does share a few texture files with the UNP version and the rest are in there own folder.

I found two images that I liked and combined the two and came up with this. My first attempt at a double sided mesh. It had a bow in the back and I did not like it so I put one around the neck. Comes in 3 colors, Top, boots and horns. Craft-able at a forge under leather.

I started off with just a bangle and worked around it and came up whit this. Then got rid of the bangle. I'll use it on something else. I started making zippers and did not like them so instead I put buttons on everything. I really like this one. I think its a keeper. Comes with top, boots, gauntlets, horns and a snake. Took forever to find a snake model. Craft-able at a forge under leather.

Malace

For X117 Males

Well here is some actual armor. Its not quite intimidating as I would of liked though. Since the body is so narrow, large armor makes the toon look like its swimming inside a giant shell and clip like mad. Added a cape to help it look a little wider. Comes in black and red. Helmet, body, gloves and boots. Yea I used my Litchking gloves. Could not figure out what else to use. Craft-able under Daedric.

Fire and Ice Mage

Here is another new one. It was going to be Blood Mage but I could not find the picture or remember the name. Then I found it and realized its not quite the same. Oh well. Still working on trying to find a good workflow. If you forget to do some steps, you cannot go back. Its not perfect, but Its not too bad either. There is an optional .esp that does not have the fire and ice effect on the body so if you don't like it you can just swap the .esp. Four parts. Body, gloves, feet and crown. Craft-able at the forge under hide.

Simple Never Nude Modesty Mod

For X117, UBB-X117, and Males

Just a simple Never Nude replacer with a couple of options. You can only have one option for the males and one option for the females. Vanilla, Boxers, or Briefs for the Males. Vanilla or Two piece for the females. I have included the templates so you can texture them any way you like. Because of the multiple versions of COTS people are running and different DLC, this is the only way it can be done without either editing the COTS .esp and making one for every version and combination DLC's, or a piggyback esp, one for every version and combination. So all COTS's will wear the same thing.

Sanosuke Wear

It started out as just making a sarashi ( chest wrapping ), and then added the pants, belt, then went looking for a jacket. Then decided to add Hentai Hana Dress to the mix. Still want to add a pair of Hakama Pants, but I'm not sure how well they will weighting that will work out. Jacket is a separate item, with a diffrent slot, so the only way to make it show up in first person is that everybody would have to change their race .esp. Craftable at the forge under hide. Red is not as bright as it is in the pictures. I darkened up a little bit more.

Dungeon Explorer AKA Zoe Clothes Complete

There is now one for each season. Winter , Spring, Summer and Fall.

Started off with Dungeon Explorer and ended up changing a lot of stuff. Did not do the bikini because it would of been so small it would of looked silly and kind of pointless. Did the top a different way so it would not look so small. Re-textured the shirt, changed the daggers on the leg harness, redid the boots, changed the brotherhood necklace to an imperial one, (the brotherhood does not advertise) and changed the shorts. Then I added a winter jacket and boot cut jeans and a eye patch. Craftable under hide. Why Zoe? Just cause.

Tribunal Masks

Tribunal Masks were requested, so I thought it would be just a quick adjustment in NifSkope. I kept lowering the mask and nothing would change in game, so I put it in 3dsMax and had to adjust its shape and enlarge the eye holes to fit and see through the eye holes. It works for me on three different faces I tried it on but I would like to be sure.

This will Overwrite the existing female mask files for gold, silver, bronze and ebony. Be sure to have original files in case of problems. The only question I have is that it fits on my heads, but that does not mean it will fit on your head.

A 4 Pack of Vanilla

I Made a small change to the Field Mage Outfit including removing the glossiness from the boots. I had Ancient Draugr laying around so I added that. Then I found an Assassin I was working on quite some time ago, but could not figure out where I wanted to go with it so I add that as a thief. ( creativity is not my strong suit) I threw in Imperial armors as well.

This will over-write the existing Field Mage, if you have it, but all id's are the same so you will not loose the one you have.

Better Light Gloves for Lich King

Why, cause the other ones suck. There is a reason why there are plenty of gauntlets but only a few gloves out there. They are hard as hell to make. So I did what everybody else does and use the Focusing Gloves.

Hard chain on the outside and smooth leather on the inside. Also added a little color to the Ultra light Armor. Looks better.

Saviors Hide

I did not make multiple versions of it because there are quite a few retextured versions on Nexus. White one is from here. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19443 Just change the name of the textfiles for the one you want. Stand-a-lone and Craft-able at the forge.

Savior's Hide is being modeled by the newest and youngest member of my group. A Half Orc Named Dari found chained to a tree outside an old mans house. Once she was freed, we proceed to cut the old man into small pieces, ( using magic to keep him alive), and feed him to the Slaughter-fish. Left his still screaming head sitting on a rock for the Mud-Crabs to slowly feast on. Malog Bal was pleased.

Remade Lich King Armor

When I was reorganizing the first page I found one I redid and forgot about it. It now has pants and the daedric chain is no longer painted on the body. Its still tight but not painted tight. Nero and Dante Armors

For the UBB-X117 and COTS R2 Males

I had to do some screwy things to get this to work. The female is using the standard X117 skeleton. The male is using the XP32 skeleton. It should work for everybody, but I'm not 100% sure.

Craft-able at the forge and upgrade-able. Dante male only has long pants and the boots are attached. (except for the soles, the boots are attached. No way to separate them.) Dante female has top and bottom. Nero male has long pants and shorts, female has top and shorts. ( female had long pants as well but I accidentally overwrote it 3 days in a row. Just not meant to be.) And yes the hair is ugly.

A combination of some of Hentai oblivion meshes, ripped apart and destroyed by me, some free meshes from TurboSquid, and lots of my inartistic skill. I had know idea what to call them, so there you have it.

All are clothing, craftable at tanning rack. Comes with White boots because they were in the folder with them. Also sandals that are flat and tall. Tall ones go through the floor. Only fix is to have a new skeleton (not doing that) or shorten the legs(looks funny). I left the jackets as Hentai had them instead of cutting them off. Why? Why not.

ARMOR PACK IX a Patch

Just a fix for some requested issues.
1. Removed AlphaProperty from Nocturnal Robe underwear. I have tried dozens of different ways, including different alpha channels with PS, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the robes specific "frequency?" that's disrupting the underwear.

2. Pushed the hair aside on the hood for visibility.

I used the male version because the female one just did not look good. Still ended up shrinking the chest-piece down to about the size of a halter top. If you have the mod that allows you to squat all the way down and you spin the camera to purposely look at it, the skirt will clip. Cannot do much about that.

I think I found this one on SkyrymModtype. I have always been a fan of the series. Yes it is nowhere close to lore friendly, so have some fun. It was made for CHSBHC-BBP with size triple N sized boobs. The original top was twisted up so I did what I could to fix it and the rest is hidden by the scarf. Spent 5 min in Photoshop changing the colors as an option for those who don't want the Neon dayglow colors. Looks better in Black and White.

Found a pretty nice mod on the nexus by Shadowtroop the mod has 5 or 6 of his projects that he has stopped work on because of not having anytime to complete them. Most of them are pretty good and most of them are complete except for a pair of purple boots here purple gauntlets here but you can throw away those for something else.

The purple outfit I already colorized which in turn changed it to my new latex outfit.

Man I can't believe how many hair mods I now have installed I think I now have 16 hair mods installed hair count is now around 330 hairs a 250+ eye mod no lag/ctd/freezes when using the showracemenu all because of this sweet little mod. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33226 it's called the show race menu precache killer and it works like a charm. Just downloaded a new dress that was posted on page 12 of the new what mod is this thread. it's called the fairy dress and I guess it came from resident evil 5. It does require the HDT system though and a modified hircines blessed bikini.

Dungeon Explorer AKA Zoe Clothes

For UBB-X117

Started off with Dungeon Explorer and ended up changing a lot of stuff. Did not do the bikini because it would of been so small it would of looked silly and kind of pointless. Re-textured the shirt, changed the daggers on the leg harness, redid the boots, changed the brotherhood necklace to an imperial one, (the brotherhood does not advertise) and changed the shorts. Then I added a winter jacket and boot cut jeans and a eye patch. Craftable under hide. Why Zoe? Just cause.

I hate it when I can't find Myself.

I wondered when they would split the post. And to think all I wanted to do was mod one or two armors.

As for redoing Shadow Triss, There are quite a few that I would like to redo. There were lots of things I did not know how to do. I know I can make them better. Morgana just came up on what mod is this, and I was thinking that it looks like crap. I know I can make that much, much better. Its all a matter of having time to do it. Go back and redo some of them that I can make better, Continue to convert new ones, or work on my own creations. Plus I looking into all of this Daz/Poser stuff to see what the whole deal is. Still don't get the point, but I'm not very artistic. Plus I'd like to create an animation or two. So in the end, I don't know.

I figured that was what Ashel did since he did it to the what mod is this thread. I tried to find the old one but gave up after awhile couldn't even seem to find old posts in the profile so I ended up having to try to search 3dm for the animations a person was asking me about the hard way instead of just back tracking to the one I posted in here. Finally found it good thing 2 of the letters on the rar were in English it popped up fairly quickly. I just had to check this outfit on that I saw on steam it actually looks pretty good and found a prewar outfit from following a blog post in the what mod is this thread and a pink retexture of the osare maid outfit.

Plus I looking into all of this Daz/Poser stuff to see what the whole deal is. Still don't get the point, but I'm not very artistic. Plus I'd like to create an animation or two. So in the end, I don't know.
most use daz3d for converting high heels, skimpy dresses, panty's and all that kind of stuff, while there are some good looking armors that could fit fine into skyrim, but most want only this dum sexy stuff, i'm still wondering why people need xxxx bikini's/panty's/stokings/hair/shoes, you can only wear 1 of them

Well with UFO you can have 15 or so followers so they can deck everyone out in high heels panties stockings hairs shoes bikinis. I have changed my players hair like 10 time since the precache killer came out.

I'm somewhere in Dragonborn and also playing DMC. The only armors my toons were, are my new Winter Zoe, Tribunal Robes, and Daedric Chainmail.

A lot of the Daz/Poser stuff is crap. Poor textures, either flat looking or plastic/ latex. You can see it even in the promo shots. That's a bad sign. They have some nice stuff too but I could not see spending the money. I've have seen at least 3 dozen daz/poser peices on Nexus in the past coulpe of months. That's where a lot of the new stuff is coming from. There are a few things that are interesting though. Hmmm......

Just because I think something is a waist of money, does not mean I think its not worthwhile to do. Each and everyone of us does things that that other people don't get. If we all did the same thing the world would be a very boring place. As I have said before, I am not artistic. I like square things. I can draw you a hell of a perspective drawing, but your going to have square trees, cars and people in it.

Paladin & paragon looks really good. But in the same price range you have this http://www.daz3d.com/clothing-accessories/uniforms-costumes/shadow-warrior, great mesh, but flat textures. Looks like a big rubber suit. Not that I can do better,cause I sure as hell cant.

I figured that was what Ashel did since he did it to the what mod is this thread. I tried to find the old one but gave up after awhile couldn't even seem to find old posts in the profile so I ended up having to try to search 3dm for the animations a person was asking me about the hard way instead of just back tracking to the one I posted in here. Finally found it good thing 2 of the letters on the rar were in English it popped up fairly quickly. I just had to check this outfit on that I saw on steam it actually looks pretty good and found a prewar outfit from following a blog post in the what mod is this thread and a pink retexture of the osare maid outfit.
