I had to disable both our anti-spam plugins, the ip your on now must be in one of the spammer databases.

Blocking by bogons is a good idea, but you have to keep the bogon list up to date, especially with ipv4 address space starting to get seriously marginal.

Yeah. And of course there's the possibility of being screwed over too if you get an IP address that belonged to a spammer. I was more so curious because I'm heading overseas in a week and my connection will questionable at best and reclaimed blocks being what they are, I'd hate to pester anyone. At worst I'll just check in when I get back to this frozen waste land.

It always amused me that NANOG refers to chunks of the address space as 'The Swamp'!
