Hi!

 

I made a thread here, although I figured I should make one here considering how the majority of the mods concerned with the issue should be easily recognizable by the community here, so here goes(!):

 

[in regards to the thread subject]

This doesn't occur in interiors (buildings, dungeons), however when I enter an exterior map such as a city then there's numerous holes/tears where there really should be landscape textures. When I enter the field outside of the city, I find myself submerged in the water usually contained under working landscape textures (not that they're showing up in this case), and when I surface, I find myself still beneath where the landscape textures should be, with the map objects hovering over where I'm positioned (presumably where they're usually positioned when the landscape textures are operative).

 

From what I've read, this 'glitch' isn't invoked by mods, and is instead a fault with the game engine. Is this fact necessarily valid?

 

I've tried reinstalling the game, replacing the Data folder with a Vanilla backup I've saved, fast travelling across the world and installing the Land Magic patch.

 

Does anybody know of any fixes? :-/

The 'glitch' if you want to call it that is most definitely NOT a game engine problem. It most definitely IS a plugin conflict problem. This is the sort of thing that happens when one mod conflicts with another.

 

The first thing you need to do is go and get BOSS and run it. It will help you sort out your load order.

 

You also need to review each and every plugin you have and make certain that you have all the requirements for it and that you have read what it may conflict with. Reading the readme files will help with this and also looking at what the plugin does to see what it may conflict with. Make certain when you install things that you know what you are installing and why.

 

Is this a duplicate:

Where you supposed to only choose one?

 

You have not paid attention to all the load order guidelines that are on this site as you have your lovers files screwy. The following files should be under your bashed patch:

90 LoversMB2.esp

91 LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

92 Lovers3dorgasm.esp

93 LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

 

Looks like you are running rev96 of lovers. Right now that is just a beta and we don't know that it works with all the lovers plugins. Make certain you have the beta creatures and correct version of PK extender or it just won't work right. I don't know that rapestruggle works with rev96 - maybe it does and maybe it doesn't we just haven't made it that far in our testing.

 

Remove these two:

A5 TSS Custom Companion Template.esp

A6 Toaster Says Share Faction Recruitment.esp

They are buggy as hell and can mess up your game. You can safely leave Toaster Says Share v3.esm as that won't hurt anything and will give you the ability to access NPC's inventroy to give them items (or take them away).

 

EDIT: Oh, and your probably about to be banned from the nexus. Posting a load order over there with lovers files included is probably going to get you flagged and banned. The nexus moderators hate lovers plugins.

What I've done so far:

  • Removed 9B Enhanced Water v2.0 ND.esp, TSS Custom Companion Template.esp and Toaster Says Share Faction Recruitment.esp.
  • Resorted the load order according to the masterfile and userlist included in the Lovers mod package.

 

As for the files I'm to load in the batch patch, Wyre Bash reports them (all) as being unmergeable due to "New record(s) in block(s): ANIO,IDLE, QUST, SCPT." and/or "Has BSA archive." and/or being the master file for a mod.

 

Notably the mods were working fine until I decided to download a few more, which caused the landscape tearing and/or disappearing. Even after I removed the mods, and replaced the Data folder with a Vanilla version (practically a complete rollback), and did not include those mods at all with my others, the problem persisted.

When you say you replace the data folder with a vanilla one, did you just copy\paste the vanilla overtop of the other? If so then you did nothing at all to fix things. To "roll back" you would need to have deleted the data folder and copy\pasted a data folder backup from prior to you installing those last couple of mods.

 

All I can recommend at this point is to find those mods you installed that broke things and unzip them to a temp location. Then look at what meshes they installed and go manually remove them from your data folder (assuming you did indeed disable those esp\esm files and have rebuilt your bashed patch).

 

I will tell you one last time that these files MUST be underneath your bashed patch:

Yes, I deleted the existing Data folder and pasted the Vanilla backup into the Oblivion folder.

 

In the meantime, I'll just trial-and-error all of the existing mods to find the culprit.

 

My bad, I originally thought they needed to be merged into it.

 

Edit: Removed "0F MONSTERGIRL-ANGELICALLIANCE.esm", no missing terrain now.
