    If you met Alain Dufont you went too far. Laura even tells you, "don't go too far" - depending on your sneak skills you don't even have to fight a single bandit inside the ruin. Yes, there's a spawn point for wild animals nearby. Not the best choice of location to be helplessly bound.

    Zomboid doesn't recognize mods put into the steam mods folder, for manually modding the game you have to put them here: C:\user\[username]\Zomboid\mods

    just to cover the basics: - do you have an "Enslavement Kit" in your inventory? (you should get a status message if you aren't carrying any - can craft them at the chem workbench) - you are actually hitting them with the baton? (although, I'm not sure how this works with knockout framework - using violate myself, and there it's "hit them when they are in the surrender state/pose". or, even beating a dead corpse, If you have activated that option in MCM. The latter only works if they were about to surrender to you before dying - it won't work if your companion just blasted them) And there is a limit on how many slaves you can handle following you (starts at one, increases with further successful enslavements - how fast, check MCM settings). This does not affect the enslavement itself. Even starting out, you can enslave a whole group of NPCs - but after that, you can only tell one to follow you. and the others will remain where they are.

    Ok so it seem's like it was the AWKCR that was missing (as you said)and when AWKCR and TD was missing DD don't crash but when there is just TD, DD don't crash. thanks for the help

    You need either UAP or Creature Resources, but it's possible you have some other sort of mod conflict (like something that gives dogmeat a unique body?). You're better off following the recommendation at the beginning of the guide to reach out to the help channels of the AAF Discord for faster assistance with troubleshooting this.

    ZeX-ZBG installs (among other things such as LooksMenu support for BT and FG) two separate empty plugins corresponding to its included female and male BodyGen config samples. LooksMenu only reads BodyGen configuration from directories whose names match enabled plugins. Disabling the plugins for the configs you don't want will cause BodyGen to no longer reshape new NPCs you encounter. That won't reset the body shapes for NPCs you've already encountered, but you can use console commands or a mod like HBD_MorphDebug to clear the existing morphs from those NPCs if they bother you.

    "Removing useless NPCs" - funny anecdote on that: I removed "Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits" from my mod list a while ago. Because AE all too often selected a chicken. So, I had quite a laugh at that one scene from the TV show 🤣 PS: I'm probably going to give the new version a go later tonight

    That's simply not possible. Devious Devices.esm has TortureDevices.esm as a master, DD will crash the game if TD is not loaded. I notice you also don't have AWKCR installed, Devious Devices requires that as well.
